Tagembed Alternative: Google Reviews

Tagembed mixes social feeds and reviews on one wall. VerifiedWidget focuses only on showcasing Google reviews.

Updated October 2026

Quick verdict

Tagembed fits a page that already blends social posts, photos and reviews. Its Google widget page says the free plan updates every four days, while its pricing table lists one manual update a day. Paid tiers reach 10,000, 50,000 and 1 million views a month, from $19 a month.

VerifiedWidget fits a site where Google reviews are the main source and traffic is higher than a few hundred visits. Free allows 10,000 views a month, with 20 reviews refreshed monthly. Paid Reviews adds automatic sync, unlimited widgets and up to 20 businesses.

Where Tagembed is stronger

When reviews are one block in a larger content wall, one tool and one moderation queue beat two. Replacing only the Google section with a Google-only widget can leave you running both.

Updates are quicker. Even the free plan refreshes more often than our monthly free refresh, and Advanced updates every 15 minutes. The tier table also has a middle 50,000-view step for growing sites.

Where VerifiedWidget is stronger

Free traffic room is far larger: 10,000 monthly views against a few hundred on Tagembed's free feed.

A named collection lets a plumbing page show only plumbing reviews, in a short carousel near the booking button.

Before you decide

Tagembed prices by feeds and monthly views: Starter allows 2 feeds, Growth 4 and Advanced 10. The same feed on a home page and several service pages multiplies loads, so count placements before picking a tier.

Neither product can earn you review stars in Google search for your own reviews on your own site. Here is why.

Switching from Tagembed

  1. Check whether your Tagembed feed includes anything besides Google reviews. Keep the social feed running until you have a plan for it.
  2. Build the Google widget in VerifiedWidget and place its script on a test page.
  3. If you use Tagembed's ReviewHUB QR code to collect feedback, plan its replacement separately. Swapping the embed does not move it.
  4. Remove the old Tagembed review block after a phone and desktop check.
