How to add Google reviews to Framer
Use Framer's Embed component for a visible review section, size it for each breakpoint, and publish to test it.

Quick answer
- Copy the script tag from your widget's Embed dialog in VerifiedWidget.
- In Framer open Insert, search Embed and drag it onto the canvas.
- Choose the HTML option (not URL) and paste the script.
- Size the component, publish, and check tablet and phone widths.
What you need
Edit access to a Framer project. Framer's Embed help names no paid tier. A custom domain does need a paid site plan, but you can test on the free Framer domain first.
Add the reviews to a Framer page
Match the theme to your design
Pick a carousel for a horizontal band, a list for a narrow editorial page or a grid for a wide one. Set colors so text stays readable on your Framer background, then save and copy the script.
Place a heading and room for the widget
Put the reviews after a case study or service explanation and before the main contact action. Leave the section wide enough that each review is readable instead of tucked into a decorative column.
Insert → Embed → HTML
Drag the Embed component onto the canvas, choose its HTML section and paste the full
<script>tag. The URL field is for embedding a web address, not a script snippet.Publish and check breakpoints
Publish and open the live URL. A fixed desktop height can clip cards or leave empty space on tablet and phone. Adjust the component at each breakpoint (Framer's separate desktop, tablet and phone layouts), or choose a more compact layout, and republish.
Framer-specific problems
- Reviews at the very top or bottom of the page. The script went into Custom Code (in Site Settings, or a page's own settings). Framer places that code at the start or end of the page head or body, not in a section. The reviews then sit above or below your whole design. Move the script into an Embed component. A Code Component is a custom React component for developers and is overkill here.
- Nothing shows in the canvas. Framer does not load Custom Code in the canvas preview, so a script placed there only shows on the published site.
- Pasted into URL instead of HTML. The component then tries to frame a web address and shows nothing useful.
- Hidden at one breakpoint. The component can be hidden or zero height on phones even when it shows on desktop. Check each breakpoint.
- Fine in the canvas, blank when published. The canvas preview is not proof. Test the published Framer URL, then your custom domain.
Why not frame the dashboard?
Framer notes that some websites block embedding through their HTTP headers (settings a site sends to browsers). VerifiedWidget's dashboard and hosted reviews pages send such headers, so a URL embed of them will not work. Use the script in the HTML field. The script loads the reviews directly into your page, which is why the same code works in a standard Framer section.
Keeping the page fast
Framer sites are usually image-heavy, so keep the review section light. A carousel or slider shows more reviews in less vertical space than a grid, and the widget loads its data separately from your Framer content. If several pages cover different services, make one widget per page in VerifiedWidget (Free includes one widget; the Reviews plan allows unlimited). Use review collections to keep each set relevant. Then add a separate Embed component for each. After any major layout change in Framer, republish and look at the widget at every breakpoint again. Resizing a parent frame can change the Embed component's height.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a paid Framer plan for Embed?
Framer's Embed help names no paid tier. A custom domain needs a paid site plan, so test on your Framer domain first.
Embed, Custom Code or Code Component?
Embed for a review section in a chosen spot. Custom Code places scripts at the start or end of the page, so reviews would land above or below your design. Code Component only for developer-built behavior.
Where does the script go?
In the Embed component's HTML section, not its URL field.
Why is the widget cut off on mobile?
Check the component's height and visibility at each Framer breakpoint, then consider a narrower layout.
