Quick verdict

WP Social Ninja is a fit when WordPress is your whole site and you want reviews, social feeds and chat widgets in one plugin. It has a free version on WordPress.org, paid licenses by number of sites, and its Google guide says reviews are fetched automatically.

VerifiedWidget is a fit if the display should survive a change of site builder. Free shows 20 reviews with 10,000 views a month; Reviews is $99 a year for 100,000 monthly views.

Where WP Social Ninja is stronger

Everything lives in one WordPress dashboard. Its pricing page advertises 30-plus platforms across reviews, social feeds and chat, far more than a Google-only product.

Licensing is by site count: one site, 25 sites or unlimited, on yearly or lifetime terms. That suits someone maintaining several WordPress sites. First-year discounts change often, so read the price at checkout.

Where VerifiedWidget is stronger

No WordPress dependency. The script works on a WordPress page today and on another builder later, as long as the editor accepts custom code.

It also adds a public reviews page and business identity schema. Paid Reviews has unlimited widgets and up to 20 businesses, with named collections and a domain allowlist.

Before you decide

Replacing the Google block will not replace WP Social Ninja's chat or social feeds, so keep the plugin active until you know what is still used. If your role blocks custom scripts, a plugin can be easier than a script embed.

Neither product can earn you review stars in Google search for your own reviews on your own site. Here is why.

Switching from WP Social Ninja

  1. List the WP Social Ninja modules in use. Only the Google reviews block is being replaced.
  2. Create a test page with a Custom HTML block (or your builder's HTML element) holding the VerifiedWidget script.
  3. Compare the published reviews with your current block.
  4. Remove the old shortcode or block page by page, and keep the plugin for feeds or chat.
