Trustmary Alternative: Google Reviews

Trustmary collects feedback and displays it. VerifiedWidget starts from reviews already on Google and showcases them.

Updated October 2026

Quick verdict

Trustmary is the broader tool: surveys, a Review Page and widgets in one platform, with imports from Google, Facebook, G2, Capterra, TripAdvisor and Yelp. The catch is on its free Solo plan, where its help center says reviews are brought in only once, when you connect. Paid plans sync every 24 hours.

VerifiedWidget is narrower. Free shows up to 20 Google reviews, refreshed monthly, with 10,000 views a month. Paid Reviews at $99 a year syncs automatically and adds unlimited widgets and up to 20 businesses.

Where Trustmary is stronger

Trustmary covers the whole feedback loop: ask customers with a survey, import reviews from several sites, publish a Review Page, then show it all in widgets. If you want to collect new testimonials rather than only display Google ones, that is the stronger fit.

Its Google widget page shows a quick setup: paste your Google Maps link, copy the snippet and paste it into your site. The Review Page is included with paid subscriptions.

Where VerifiedWidget is stronger

Trustmary's free plan caps widget views at a few hundred a month, and all widgets share that cap. Its help center says the widget hides when views run out. VerifiedWidget Free allows 10,000.

If surveys and lead forms are outside your plan, the narrower product is simpler to budget. The money goes to Google review layouts, named collections, a public reviews page and business identity schema instead.

Before you decide

Check which Trustmary plan you would need for automatic Google import, since the free connection is one-time. Its help center also warns that a widget in a site-wide footer uses views fast, because every page load counts. Ask Trustmary what each paid plan includes in views and features, and price the exact mix you need.

Neither product can earn you review stars in Google search for your own reviews on your own site. Here is why.

Switching from Trustmary

  1. Keep any Trustmary surveys, forms and Review Page running. Only the Google review embed moves.
  2. Save the public Review Page address and survey links. They do not transfer, so update shared links separately.
  3. Create the VerifiedWidget display, then compare review dates with your Google listing after the first import.
  4. Replace the Trustmary Google embed after the new one passes a mobile check.
