Widget layouts

Google reviews widget layouts

The builder has 11 layouts, and these eight have their own pages. Others, such as photo story, video spotlight and service proof, are in the builder. Pick a layout, restyle it in the builder, and paste one script tag into your site.

How to choose

Match the layout to the space. Wide sections suit a grid, masonry or carousel. A header or footer suits a badge. A single strong quote suits a slider. Every layout uses the same reviews, filters and styling controls, so you can switch later without rebuilding.

Each layout page shows a live example, the settings available, how it behaves on phones, and setup steps. For a layout built for your trade, see the industry examples. To try one at no cost, start with the free Google reviews widget.

Frequently asked questions

Which layout should I start with?

A grid or carousel suits most home pages. Use a floating corner badge for a site-wide rating, a list on a long page, and a pop-up when space is tight.

Can I change layout later?

Yes. Switch layouts in the builder and the same embed code shows the new one.

Are all layouts on the Free plan?

Yes. Every layout and theme is on the Free plan. Free includes one widget with up to 20 reviews, refreshed monthly. Automatic syncing and removing branding are part of the paid Reviews plan.

Can I test two layouts against each other?

Yes. In the placement settings, turn on “Compare a second layout (50/50)” and pick the other layout. Each page load shows one of the two at random.

Will a layout add review stars to Google search?

No layout can promise that. Google generally blocks review stars for a business's own reviews; see our guide linked below.
