How to Add Google Reviews to Divi
Add a Code module to the row where reviews belong and paste the script. Check the published page, not the builder canvas.
Updated October 2026
Quick answer
- Open the page and enable the Visual Builder.
- In the row where reviews belong, click the gray plus button, search for Code, and add the module.
- Paste the VerifiedWidget script into the Text field on the Content tab, save the module, then save or publish the page.
The Code module is built into Divi and accepts HTML and JavaScript, so you do not need an extra plugin (see Elegant Themes' Code module overview).
What you need
A saved widget with its script from the Embed dialog, and permission to edit the page in the Visual Builder. If your host or a security plugin strips scripts, ask the site administrator. For custom JavaScript placement, see Elegant Themes' guide.
Divi 4 or Divi 5?
Elegant Themes set February 26, 2026 as the official Divi 5 release. It said Divi 4 support would continue for at least six months after that (release announcement). Both versions have the Code module. In Divi 5 you click the green plus to add a row, then the gray plus inside the row to open the module list.
Divi 4's Code module help says pasted JavaScript does not show inside the Visual Builder. It appears only after you save and exit the builder. So an empty Code module while you edit is normal in either version. Judge the result on the live page.
Choosing the spot
Use a full-width row for a carousel or masonry layout and a list or slider for a narrow column. A three-column grid inside a one-third column turns into thin, hard-to-read cards. Divi rows can hold several columns, so check the column structure before you add the module. Start with one ordinary page before you touch any template.
Show reviews on every page with the Theme Builder
To show reviews on every page, such as a review strip in the footer or a floating corner badge, go to Divi > Theme Builder. In the Default Website Template, click Add Global Footer, then Build Global Footer, and add a Code module there. Click Save, exit, then Save Changes in the Theme Builder. Elegant Themes notes that a custom global footer replaces the standard Divi footer and footer bar. Rebuild your contact details and links in it too. Elegant Themes' Theme Builder guide has the full steps.
A global footer loads on every page, so every page can count toward your monthly widget views. A slider, a list or a floating badge suits this better than a large grid. For one landing page, a page-level Code module is easier to test and remove.
Why not the Theme Options Integration tab?
Divi has a site-wide code area at Divi > Theme Options > Integration, with boxes for the page head and body. Elegant Themes suggests it for code that runs on every page, such as analytics. You choose no position there. If the widget script sits in the page head, the widget appears at the very end of the page instead. Use a Code module wherever you want visitors to see reviews.
Divi-specific problems
- Empty module in the builder. Expected for scripts. Save, exit the builder and open the public URL.
- Script printed on the page. It went into a Text module, which is for writing. Move it to a Code module.
- Old design still showing. Go to Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced and click Clear beside Static CSS File Generation. Then clear your cache plugin and CDN. Keep only one copy of the script while you test.
- Cut off at the edge. Make the row wider or use fewer columns, then check the row and column overflow settings.
- Two widgets on one page. Look for a second copy in a Theme Builder footer or the Integration tab.
If the widget is blank on the published page, work through the general checklist.
Frequently asked questions
Which Divi element should hold the embed?
The Code module in the Visual Builder. Paste the full script into its Text field on the Content tab.
Can I add reviews to just one page?
Yes. Add a Code module to that page. Theme Builder templates and global settings can affect more pages.
Why is the module blank in the builder?
Divi does not run pasted JavaScript inside the Visual Builder. Save, exit and check the public page.
Can Divi show the widget in a footer?
Yes. In Divi > Theme Builder, add a global footer and put a Code module in it. It replaces the standard footer and loads on every page.
Can the widget add Google stars to search results?
No. Google does not show stars for a business's own reviews on its own site; see our star ratings guide.
