What you need
A Zoho Sites website you can edit. Zoho's help documents code customization without naming a plan; if the option is missing, contact Zoho support.
Steps for Zoho Sites
Build a widget for the page
A grid under the services section suits a home page. Save the widget and copy its script tag.
Add a Code Snippet element
On the page, add a Code Snippet element from the Elements list. Zoho's Code Snippets article says it supports HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Later, you can edit or rename every snippet in one place under Manage → Code Snippets.
Paste and save
Paste the VerifiedWidget script into the snippet and save. Resize the element so the cards are not cropped.
Sitewide use (optional)
Under Customization → Code, Zoho documents header and footer scripts. Zoho's code customization page also mentions page-specific header and footer boxes. A grid or carousel pasted in the site footer lands at the bottom of every page. The badge layout is the better fit there, because it floats in a corner.
Zoho Sites-specific problems
- Blank in the editor. Expected. Zoho says that for security reasons you cannot preview a code snippet widget. Publish and check the live page.
- Reviews on every page. The script was added to the footer area. Remove it there and use the page-level snippet.
- Counted views. Sitewide code shows the widget on every page, so it uses your monthly views faster. Repeat loads by the same visitor within 30 minutes count once.
- Custom domain. If your VerifiedWidget allowlist is on, add the custom domain.
Where it fits on a Zoho site
If you use other Zoho products, remember that Zoho Sites is a separate website tool, so the review widget lives only on pages you edit here. A snippet under the services section works well on a home page. A sitewide footer badge suits you only if you want the same proof everywhere. Otherwise add the snippet to pages where visitors decide, such as pricing and contact.
After publishing
Zoho Sites separates the editor from the published site, so always check the live address rather than the editor. If you use a custom domain, open both the Zoho address and the custom domain. If you added the script to the footer code as well as a page snippet, you will see two copies of the widget; remove one. Keep the snippet in its own element so it is easy to find and update later.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add the widget to more than one page?
Yes. Add a Code Snippet element on each page, using the same script, or create a separate widget for each page's topic.
Why do I see the widget twice?
The script is probably in both a page snippet and the footer code. Remove one of them.
Snippet or footer code?
Use the snippet for one page and the footer code for sitewide placement.
Do I need a paid Zoho plan?
Zoho's pages we found do not say. If an option is missing, contact Zoho support.
Is the VerifiedWidget Free plan enough?
Yes for one widget with up to 20 reviews, 10,000 views a month and branding shown.
Why does the widget not show in the editor?
Zoho does not preview code snippet widgets, for security reasons. Publish and open the live page.
