How to add Google reviews to Webnode
Webnode has an HTML content element that can hold your VerifiedWidget script, but it needs a premium package on newer projects.
Updated October 2026
Quick answer
- Copy the script tag from your widget's Embed dialog in VerifiedWidget.
- In the Webnode editor, hover over a section until the plus button appears. In the content bubble, click the more-options circle and choose HTML.
- Paste the script into the HTML field and apply it.
- Publish the site and open the live page in a private window.
What you need
A Webnode project on a premium package. Webnode's support page says body HTML needs any premium package for projects created after June 26, 2023. It does not say what applies to older projects, so confirm with Webnode.
Steps for Webnode
Pick a layout that spans a section
A grid or carousel works under a hero or services block; a list layout fits a narrow column. Save the widget and copy the script.
Add the HTML element
On the page where reviews belong, hover over a section until the plus button appears. Open the more-options circle in the content bubble and choose HTML, as described on Webnode's Add HTML code page. Paste the script into its field and apply or save it.
Size and position
Resize the element so it spans the section around it, and keep it away from tight contact-form areas on small screens.
Publish and check live
The editor preview may not run the script. Publish, then open the live page in a private window on desktop and phone.
Webnode-specific problems
- No HTML element in the editor. Your project may be older than June 26, 2023, or on a free package. Webnode's page is the source for current rules; ask Webnode support before upgrading.
- Element shows empty in the editor. Expected. Check the published page instead of the editor.
- Script in the header code instead. Header code has no visible spot in the page, so an in-page layout lands at the very end of the page. Use the body HTML element for grids and carousels.
- Custom domain. If your VerifiedWidget allowlist is on, add the Webnode custom domain.
Reviews on every page
Webnode's header code guide covers two more places. For every page, click Settings, then Website Settings, and paste into HTML header/footer. For one page, click Pages, pick the page, open its SEO settings and use Custom HTML header code. Webnode limits header code to its Standard, Profi and Business packages.
Header code cannot pick a spot in your layout. It suits the badge layout, which floats in a corner of every page. Keep grids and carousels in the body HTML element.
Checking the live page
Webnode keeps its editor and live site separate, so make a habit of publishing and then viewing the live URL after each change. Use the mobile preview in VerifiedWidget to pick a layout that keeps your phone number in view. Recheck the live page after any template or design change.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Webnode HTML element visible in the editor?
Often it looks empty or blank in the editor. Publish and check the live page to see the real result.
Which layout works best on Webnode?
A grid or carousel under the services section, or a list in a narrow column. Check the mobile preview before copying the code.
Does the free Webnode plan allow this?
Webnode's page ties body HTML insertion to premium packages for projects created after June 26, 2023. Confirm with Webnode.
Can I put the widget on every page?
Yes. Paste a badge widget's script into Settings > Website Settings > HTML header/footer. Webnode offers this on its Standard, Profi and Business packages.
Why is the widget blank?
Publish first, then check the live page; the editor preview may not run scripts.
Will it affect page speed?
It loads one script. Test your page after adding it.
