How to add Google reviews to Hostinger Website Builder
Use Hostinger's Embed code element to put customer reviews in a visible section of your website.
Updated October 2026
Quick answer
- Copy the script tag from your widget's Embed dialog in VerifiedWidget.
- In Website Builder open Add elements and drag Embed code into the section.
- Click the element, choose Enter code, paste the script and click Embed code.
- Click Update website, then check the live page on desktop and phone.
What you need
A site in Hostinger's visual Website Builder, not a WordPress site hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger's help names no plan for the Embed code element; if it is missing, contact Hostinger support.
Add the widget in Hostinger
Build a display that fits a visual section
Hostinger sections are drag-and-drop blocks with fixed spacing, so a short list or slider is easier to fit than a multi-column wall. Check the mobile preview in VerifiedWidget, save, and copy the script tag with its address and widget ID unchanged.
Drag in Embed code
Open the page in the builder. In the left panel choose Add elements and drag Embed code into the section where reviews belong, near your booking, contact or purchase information.
Enter the code
Click the element, choose Enter code, paste the script, and select Embed code to apply it. This element sits in your page layout. The separate custom code field under More (⋯) → Integrations is different. Hostinger moves script tags there to the end of the page, so the reviews would land at the bottom of every page.
Size it and fix the mobile order
Resize the element so the cards have room, and leave space before the next block. Switch to the phone view. Hostinger's mobile editing guide says moving elements on desktop does not change the mobile order. Confirm the heading, reviews and contact button appear in the order you want. After a desktop change, an Auto-fix layout option may appear in the mobile view. It makes that mobile section follow the desktop layout again.
Click Update website
Changes go live only after Update website. Open the published URL in a fresh tab and on a phone, and check the reviews load and your contact action is still easy to find.
Hostinger-specific problems
- Blank on the live site after updating. Hostinger's embed help says to clear your browser cache first. Then check the widget in VerifiedWidget has reviews to show.
- Reviews at the bottom of every page. The script went into the Integrations custom code field instead of an Embed code element. Remove it there and use the element.
- HTTP address. Hostinger advises HTTPS addresses because browsers often block HTTP content on secure sites. If the script address was edited or has stray spaces, recopy it from the dashboard.
- Changes not showing. You saved but did not click Update website, or the browser cached the old page. Use a private window.
- Wrong order on phones. See step 4; each view keeps its own arrangement.
Website Builder or WordPress on Hostinger?
Hostinger sells both. Website Builder sites open in the drag-and-drop editor described above, while WordPress sites open the WordPress dashboard. The steps here apply only to the first. For a WordPress site on Hostinger, use a Custom HTML block as described in the WordPress guide.
If you later move to a custom domain, publish again and open the new address. The page you tested may have been on a temporary Hostinger address. Also keep one widget per business, and use the review filters in VerifiedWidget to hide any review that does not belong on a customer-facing page. Only real Google reviews are imported; they cannot be written or edited in the dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use Embed code or Integrations → Custom code?
Embed code for review cards in a chosen spot. The Integrations custom code field moves scripts to the end of every page, so the reviews would sit at the bottom.
Why is the widget missing after I save it?
Click Update website to publish, then check the public URL rather than the editor canvas.
Why is the mobile order wrong?
Hostinger says later desktop reordering does not always update mobile. Switch to phone view and arrange the heading, embed and button there.
Does this work on Hostinger WordPress hosting?
No. This guide covers Website Builder. A WordPress site uses a Custom HTML block; see the WordPress guide.
